This subject – as old as one of mankind's first dreams – is yet in his diapers. The method of formalizing or understanding even the notion of a machine's intelligence has been impressively developed these last years. From the first huge algorithms that were able to understand and execute all possible occurrences to the notion of intelligence network. Brooks and Weber are still today the stone pillars of this building. Now you just have to admire the work already accomplished with the secret dream of maybe one day be a part of it all. |

| Sony's CSL (Computer Science Laboratories) directed by Tokoro Mario was founded in 1988 to develop a computer science research center. The tackled fields are among others programming languages, human/machine interaction, artificial intelligence. On the website, many info are available and notably research and activity reports since 1988!!! That's why you absolutely need to go on the website. The lab took an active part in the development of both models of the Aibo robot. |

| Artificial Intelligence, the next Spielberg movie, is actually an old Kubrick's movie project. The story: 2050, human beings will only be allowed to have a single child... unless they adopt a robot-child! In complete secret, Dreamworks company launched a huge number of websites inspired from the movie's universe: something like thirty - or more - websites that take the websurfer 50 years forward in the future. But unfortunately, these websites have been opened without advertisement and only the websurfer's curiosity led to discover their existence! From a website to another, you're going deeper into this world: anti-droids propaganda, intelligent homes builder, human beings/robots equal rights fight, an FBI department specialized in catching rebel androids, a pro-robots sect... Each website - or at least those which have been discovered - are listed on the "Ain't it Cool" website that led the investigation. |

| A website focusing on the creation of a basic ecosystem peopled with robots based on the Lego Mindstorms. This ecosystem has two kinds of population - herbivorous and carnivorous. The website offers info about the ecosystem, algorithms and pictures of the lego-built robots. A very nice project on the lookout for passionate people wanting to develop it even faster. A great initiative that we just had to list on pekee's website. Congratulations!! |
