Once you own a robot, what are you supposed to do? The best way to enjoy your robot is to show it to the wild-eyed community craving for these fantastic high-tech toys, or else to enter competitions so as to prove to the world that your robot is really the best. OK it's quite a minimalist argument but it's really efficient to test your robot. First of all, find a club or a battle team – the difference is huge, isn't it? – and then enter a contest, a competition or a fight. But be careful there are no room for second-rate runners!

The ANSTJ is the association that created the E=M6 cup and robotics trophees. In a few words, it's the compulsory place for any of you who'd like to join the competition. You'll find info on the various competitions. The website is simple but very complete! We can only congratulate ANSTJ for this performance and the seriousness of the organization. Long life to this competition!

BRUM association (Breizh Robotics University - Morbihan) counts as members, among others, some students in Deug MIAS and some robotics fans from the Lorient and Vannes universities. Various robotic projects are seen through, such as a walking-robot, Lego soccer-player robots or else a reacting face. All the projects are detailed and illustrated on the website. The purpose is to learn to build robots to increase your knowledge and help children take part to the Robot Festat Europe. A very good website, with a great presentation and high-quality projects. Stay tuned!

Capra's team from the high technological institute has a tremendously ambitious project: building an autonomous walking robot. The team's motto is: "You've heard about Capra, haven't you? It's the story of a mountain goat climbing the steep slopes of mobile robotics...", in other words skill and a sense of humor. CAPRA's robot will be presented at the next edition of "Unmanned Ground Vehicles" competition in Rochester (USA), from June 2nd to 4th, 2001. This participation will be a first for CAPRA will be the first walking robot to take part in this wordly reknown event. The website is full of quality info. Let's keep a close eye on this team!!

This website gives info about RoboFesta in New Zealand. The material is clear and gives a good overlook of the 2001 edition. There's even a slide show presenting the major events and the robots prototypes presented during the show.

Cachan's ENS robotics club competes for the ANSTJ E=M6 cup. The website is a real success and is full of info on the team and the robot. Most of the documents and datasheets (i.e. technical documents) are .PDF documents. You absolutely have to take a look at this website. And if I may, go Cachan!

EPU robotics team competes for the ANSTJ E=M6 cup. They show a great witticism especially when introducing the team's members but then that's all folks!!! Too bad, really, that they don't even talk about their robot. It's really the only thing missing because otherwise the website is well-conceived.

Team 2000 is a robotics club from Cachan tehcnological institute who competed for E=M6 cup. On the website, you can find many pictures showing the robot's conception and mainly picturing life before and during the competition. The website is based around good temper and humor, but on the technical side, it's really serious stuff!

ESIAL robotics club has competed for E=M6 cup for more than 5 years and has been quite successfull particularly winning the creativity cup in 1997. The website is there to promote this team and underline its evolution but no information on the robot are available and that's really too bad.
